1,300+ New Shops, Better AI Reports, and Enhanced Safety
May has been an incredibly productive month for hank. Our goal remains the same: to make finding the right car parts simple, fast, and completely trustworthy. Over the past few weeks, we’ve shipped some massive improvements to search precision, expanded our database to support more classic cars, welcomed over a thousand new specialist shops, and upgraded our security systems.

Over 1,300+ New Specialist Shops
A marketplace is only as strong as its network. This month, we have massively expanded our database of trusted specialist shops and sellers, welcoming over 1,300+ new verified outlets to the hank network.
By growing this database of specialist sources, our AI search engine can now scan and extract inventory from a much broader range of catalogs. This means when you create a part request, hank is far more likely to locate the exact match from trusted, high-quality specialists - especially when searching for rare, vintage, and hard-to-find components.
Smarter AI Reports
We want your search experience to be seamless and highly informative. We've rolled out four major upgrades to our AI reports:
Pictures in AI Reports
You no longer have to click through multiple links to see what a seller is offering. AI reports now display actual product images directly in the report dashboard. You can visually verify a part's condition and shape at a single glance.
Clearer Part Conditions
We have refined how part conditions are extracted and displayed. It is now much easier to see at a glance whether a found part is new or used, saving you time when scrolling through options.
Seamless Translations in AI Reports
We are a global community, and great parts can come from anywhere. While hank has supported translations for a while, we have closed the remaining gaps in our AI reports. hank now reliably translates part descriptions from international sellers and global sources into your local language, ensuring you always know exactly what you’re buying.
Accent-Insensitive Search
Accidentally typing "Citroen" instead of "Citroën," or "Skoda" instead of "Škoda"? Our search system now fully normalizes accents and diacritics, meaning you’ll find the exact vehicle model you need regardless of special characters.
Classic Audis, Jaguars, and Cupra
We’ve also updated our vehicle database to make sure your cars are fully supported, with a heavy focus on beloved classics:
- Legendary Classic Audis: We’ve added full support for iconic models including the Audi F103, S2, RS2, and 200 C2.
- Jaguar & MG Classics: Expanded coverage for classic Jaguar models and missing modern/classic MG models.
- Cupra: Cupra is now supported as its own independent brand with its full catalog of performance models.
- Mercedes-Benz Class Translations: To keep models crystal clear across all borders, we’ve translated all Mercedes-Benz Class models across all seven of our supported languages.
Upgraded Platform Safety
As we grow, keeping our community safe from automated spam and impersonation is our top priority. This month, we rolled out a series of behind-the-scenes trust and security improvements.
These automated safeguards keep spam off the platform and introduce stronger account protections to prevent support impersonation. We want you to feel confident when transacting on hank.
Performance & Compatibility Fixes
We’ve ironed out a few technical wrinkles to make sure the platform runs smoothly:
- iOS 15 Safari Fix: We resolved an issue where older iPhones and iPads running iOS 15 Safari would crash when attempting to sort lists. The layout is now fully backward-compatible.
- Secure Logout: Logging out now triggers a clean, hard reload of the application, ensuring that no stale cached user data remains visible on shared or public computers.
